Artist statement
Exposure to my mother’s Mexican heritage while living in Texas, and memories of my grandmother’s garden instilled in me a deep appreciation for color, landscapes, and florals that has greatly influenced my work as a artist reminding me no matter what hardships in life we may face there is always beauty in the world to be seen. I enjoy the act of painting the energy, and movement found in nature with color manipulation, and bold intuitive brushwork. I aim to capture the complexities found in nature in a minimalistic approach.
